Paddock postcard from Europe
Just a few of the famous faces in the pitlane
In an unusual merger of race and space, Toyota have welcomed astronaut TJ Creamer to their garage and motorhome at the Nurburgring this weekend in collaboration with DLR, the German Institute of Planetary Research.
Meanwhile, German children in need were benefiting from former boxing world champion Henry Maskes charity party at the Dorint Hotel which overlooks the famed circuit. Besides Red Bulls Una girls and television commentator Sven (brother of polesitter Nick) Heidfeld, they were joined by Swiss singer Patrick Nuo and German actor Dustin Semmelrogge.
Elsewhere in the paddock former racers and TV commentators Christian Danner, Hans Stuck, Marc Surer and Jacques Laffite were joined by John Watson, ensuring a pit lane full of famous Formula One faces from across the decades.
