• Ferrari have announced the appointment of John Iley as their head of aerodynamics, a newly-created role within the team. Iley, whose previous Formula One experience includes stints with Jordan and Renault, will report directly to chief designer Rory Byrne.

• Jaguar driver Justin Wilson received the 'Achievement in Sport' award at the 11th Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards on Thursday (November 6), held at Elland Road, home of British football club Leeds United.

Wilson's award was in recognition of his achievements in motorsport. He made his Formula One debut in 2003 with Minardi before signing to Jaguar Racing for the final five Grand Prix of the year, scoring his maiden world championship point with his first race finish for the team at the US Grand Prix.

"I'm very honoured to win the Achievement in Sport award," said Wilson. "I was extremely proud to be nominated and I'm grateful to everyone who voted for me." Wilson will be back at the wheel for Jaguar when testing resumes later this month, but has not yet been confirmed with the team for 2004.
