Sicilian launch date for 2004 Renault 21 Nov 2003
Renault has become the third Formula One team this week to announce a launch date for their 2004 car. The R24 will be unveiled in Palermo on the Italian island of Sicily on Thursday January 29.
Renault enjoyed an excellent 2003 campaign with the R23, in which Fernando Alonso took victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, and the team hope the new car will again allow them to consistently challenge the likes of Ferrari, Williams and McLaren.
The R24 will feature a new V10 with more traditional engine architecture, following the team's decision earlier this year to abandon their much-talked-about wide-angle design.
