Heidfeld to test for Jordan next week 27 Nov 2003
Jordan have announced they have taken an option on the services of former Sauber driver Nick Heidfeld, which will see him test for the British team at Jerez next week
"Nick is a prime candidate for a revitalised Jordan Grand Prix next year and we are anxious for him to start getting to know the team at this stage," said team boss Eddie Jordan. "It is an important test as we have got a lot of new components to try as well as vital tyre testing for Bridgestone."
Heidfeld will spend three days at the Spanish circuit, from December 3-5. He will be joined for two of those days by 20-year old Jarek Janis from the Czech Republic, who is tipped to be a leading contender in next year's International F3000 Championship, having already won races in the European series.
Jordan will also be testing at Barcelona on January 20-23, 2004, with the all-new EJ14 car due to be launched in the first week of February.
