Siedler added to Minardi test schedule 09 Dec 2003
Austrian Norbert Siedler has been added to the growing list of names expected to test with Minardi this week at the Italian circuit of Vallelunga. The 20-year-old will get his first taste of Formula One power on Friday.
"There are not so many racing drivers who are allowed to drive an F1 (car) during their career, and that's why it is quite clear for my, what I have to do at Vallelunga," Siedler said in a press release.
Siedler has personal backing from Minardi sponsors Superfund, who also support the championship he raced in this year, the World Series by Nissan. Prior to that, he spent two seasons in the German F3 series, taking one win at Hockenheim.
Minardi, who have yet to confirm either of their race seats for 2004, will be putting at least three other up-and-coming stars through their paces at Vallelunga. Renault Driver Development Programme members Heikki Kovalainen and Jose-Maria Lopez will both be on track, along with Italian Fabrizio Del Monte.
