Eddie Jordan says he would be in favour of a new Concorde Agreement before the current one expires at the end of 2007, echoing Bernie Ecclestone's recent call.

"By and large everyone would like to see a new Concorde Agreement," Jordan said. "There have been too many in-house fights because of inadequacies in the current contract ... A happy and a successful Concorde Agreement signed by all parties and agreed to by all parties will give confidence not just through the media, but also to the commercial and sponsorship opportunities, because if we are doing a new Concorde Agreement it would necessarily be longer than 2007, 2008 structure.

"What we need at the moment is a group of individuals all singing from the same hymn book," added Jordan, "The sooner it can be done and everyone can own up to it and get on with it, to get the banks, and Bernie, and the major manufacturers together with the teams, it will be the best day's work we will have ever done for this sport."
