Button cleared to race
|
BAR driver Jenson Button will definitely participate in this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. The 23 year-old Englishman was cleared yesterday to race by FIA medical delegate Professor Sid Watkins, who had wanted Button to undergo a final medical following the accident he suffered in Monte Carlo a fortnight ago. "I'm feeling pretty reasonable," Button said, having undertaken some media and publicity activities for BAR in downtown Montreal. "I'm raring to get back in the car, and I'm not worried about any after effects of the accident." To help Button get back on track, Honda has a revised specification engine here in Canada, thought to have a significant power increase over the unit the team ran in Monaco.
