Thursday weather report

Welcome to our coverage of the British Grand Prix here at Silverstone. Just as the British summer was reaching peak temperatures and everybody was complaining about the excessive heat, it seems that a sudden change in the weather will affect the race weekend.

There were showers at Silverstone on Wednesday and they are due again today and tomorrow, and on Saturday afternoon, which could make qualifying very interesting.

As these words are written, on Thursday morning, there is also a 60 percent chance of serious rain on race day.
