Welcome to our coverage of the German Grand Prix here at Hockenheim. As of Thursday morning the temperature is around 17 degrees Celsius and is due to reach a high just over 20, but scattered thunderstorms are expected in the region later.

Tomorrow and Saturday will be extremely hot, with temperatures nudging the thirties and little or no chance of rain, but Sunday could be a different matter. The temperature is expected to reach the high twenties again, but there is a 40 percent chance of the scattered thunderstorms returning, which could mean a wet race.
