Friday weather - dry qualifying in prospect 01 Aug 2003
Welcome back to the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Encouragingly, the scattered thunderstorms that were expected yesterday did not materialise, though the weather in the region remains very hot and humid.
Today's weather will reach 26 degrees Celsius and there is no forecast of rain. It will be the same tomorrow, but after what happened yesterday the predictions of rain showers and thunderstorms on race day may yet prove wide of the mark. Officially, however, there remains a 40 percent chance of a wet race.
