Renault appoint new engine technical director 06 Jan 2004
The Renault Formula One team announced on Tuesday the appointment of Robert White as Technical Director (Engine).
Formerly Chief Engineer at Cosworth, 38 year-old White assumed control of all technical activities at the team's Viry-Chatillon engine plant on January 1, and will work alongside Deputy Managing Director Bernard Dudot at the French site.
"We are delighted to welcome an engineer of Rob's calibre to the team at Viry," commented the team's Managing Director Flavio Briatore. "His appointment is another key step as we build towards challenging for the World Championship."
Renault will launch their 2004 car, the R24, in Sicily on January 29.
