Ferrari announce January launch date 12 Jan 2004
Formula One World Champions Ferrari will officially launch their 2004 car later this month, it has been announced. The as-yet unnamed machine will be unveiled at the team's Maranello headquarters on Monday January 26.
In both 2002 and 2003 Ferrari started the season with the previous year's car. However, with key rivals Williams and McLaren having already made promising track debuts with their 2004 contenders, Ferrari will be keen to have their new car tried and tested ahead of the Australian Grand Prix on March 7.
Ferrari's driver line-up for the new season remains unchanged with Michael Schumacher, gunning for a record seventh world drivers' title, again paired with Rubens Barrichello as the Italian team look to secure an unprecedented sixth successive constructors' crown.
