Thundering typhoons! The 17th round of the FIA Formula One World Championship is set to be upset by the unusual weather patterns prevailing in the Pacific Rim.

There are a series of typhoons in the area, and as the weather forecast has thus far proved to be correct with heavy rain this morning, the first typhoon may arrive in time to disrupt things for qualifying tomorrow.

The ambient temperature will reach between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius over the course of the weekend, but all the indications are that it will be wet, wet, wet all through until raceday.
