Ferrari run solo test at Fiorano 15 Oct 2004
As six of their rivals were busy testing at Jerez on Thursday, Ferrari opted to run in private at their Fiorano facility in Italy, with Luca Badoer and Andrea Bertolini in action.
The world champions programme centred on tyre and aerodynamic testing. Badoer took the wheel of the F2004 for the morning, the Italian putting in 83 laps with a best time of 58.845s.
Bertolini, the Ferrari Maserati Groups competition test driver, took over the same chassis for the afternoon session, completing 38 laps with a fastest time of 59.408s.
The test was run in cloudy conditions, with track temperatures going no higher than 20 degrees Celsius. On Friday, Ferrari switch their activities to the Vallelunga circuit to the north of Rome, with Badoer again on driving duty.
