A Formula One demonstration run by Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Luca Badoer and Andrea Bertolini formed the finale of the Ferrari Maserati World Finals at Monza on Sunday.

A crowd of 40,000 fans were treated to the spectacle of four Ferrari F2004s on track simultaneously, as the Italian automotive group marked the end of their 2004 motorsport campaign.

“Still today I remember the emotions I felt when I saw my name on the side of the car for the first time," said Barrichello. "This is an extraordinary team, which works in unbelievable harmony. We work together and we win together, so it is very nice for all of us to be here together today.”

“It is great to be part of a day like this, with everyone together to celebrate a really unbelievable season,” added Schumacher.

Eighteen historic Formula One cars and five Ferrari 333 SPs, all run by Maranello’s Formula One customer department, as well as six world championship winning cars from 1999 to the present day preceded the F2004s on track.

“It is particularly enjoyable to be here at Monza for this day of celebration, without any sort of pressure or tension, in a completely different atmosphere to what we are used to at the Grands Prix, where we always face a difficult challenge,” said Ferrari’s Managing Director Jean Todt.

“The entire Ferrari family has turned out here: the team, the owners, the fans, the sponsors, all together to celebrate a season which can be described as unique. It will definitely not be easy to repeat it.”

A total of over 900 race and road cars attended the four-day event.
