Bahrain threw up arguably the most exciting race of the season so far, with countless overtaking manoeuvres, numerous mechanical dramas, and a series of wheel-to-wheel battles between motorsport's leading protagonists.

Jaguar rookie Christian Klien showed he is no pushover, taking the fight to McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen more than once; Ralf Schumacher came unstuck again after underestimating the aggression and ability of Takuma Sato; and Juan Pablo Montoya was cruelly robbed of third place by a failing gearbox.
