Engine improvement boosts Renault 15 Apr 2004
Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso left the Barcelona test last week feeling very happy with the latest engine improvements that Renault will have for the San Marino Grand Prix next week.
The upgrade to the RS24 V10 has realised a significant performance increase which will enable the team to adopt a more aggressive strategy for the rest of the season.
"The latest version of the engine felt a lot better than the unit we used in the first three races",Trulli commented."I feel very encouraged for Imola and the rest of the year."
The team will also introduce a number of aerodynamic improvements which they hope will close the gap between them and Ferrari as the championship moves into its European leg.
