Day 3 - crash halts Ferraris Monza programme
Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer escaped unhurt after an accident at Monza on Thursday. However, damage to his F2004 chassis forced the team to end their schedule early.
Badoer was working on Bridgestone tyre development and had completed 26 laps before he went off in slippery conditions at the Curva Grande, the fastest corner on the high-speed Italian Grand Prix circuit.
The Italian, who had previously set a best time of 1m 21.626s, emerged unscathed, but after assessing the damage to the chassis, Ferraris engineers decided to take the car back to the teams Maranello headquarters for repairs.
