Jaguar to bring movie stars to Monaco 17 May 2004
George Clooney and Julia Roberts on the grid?
As if the Monaco Grand Prix wasnt glamorous enough, Jaguar will bring a touch of Hollywood glitz to the Principality this weekend when the team launches the film Oceans 12, sequel to the worldwide box office success, Oceans 11.
Key members of the movies cast, which includes George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, will join Jaguar for the launch and in a first for Formula One racing, imagery from the film will form a central part of Jaguars presence at Monaco, with unique branding appearing across the entire team, from team shirts, driver and mechanics overalls to the team's pit-lane garage, as well as the cars themselves.
Jerry Weintraub, producer of Ocean's 12, said; "The Monaco Grand Prix is the highlight of the global racing calendar and Ocean's 12 will be one of the most exhilarating, thrilling and stylish films of the year. This partnership reflects how Formula One is the perfect audience for us and Jaguar Racing the preferred partner. The cast can't wait to see their names hurtling round the streets of Monaco at more than 250kph."
The groundbreaking Monaco launch stems from a partnership between Ocean's 12 and Ford-owned companies Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin - whose cars all take starring roles in the film.
