Regent Street line-up and route confirmed 02 Jul 2004
Team boss Eddie Jordan was in London on Thursday to pick the running order for next Tuesdays Formula One demonstration run along Regent Street in the heart of the British capitals West End.
A total of eight teams will be taking part, with an all-star line-up of drivers past and present. The Formula One cars will leave Waterloo Place, drive up Regent Street, turn right into Great Marlborough Street, left into Little Argyll Street and left again on to Regent Street, returning to Waterloo Place.
The event gets underway at 6 pm and the running order is as follows:
1. Toyota - Cristiano da Matta
2. Jordan - Nigel Mansell
3. Ferrari - Luca Badoer
4. BAR - Jenson Button
5. Minardi - Zsolt Baumgartner
6. Williams - Juan Pablo Montoya
7. McLaren - David Coulthard
8. Jaguar - Martin Brundle
Due to the limited viewing space in Regent Street, organisers will be placing additional large screens in Great Marlborough Street and nearby Hanover Square. It is also advised that visitors, in particular children, should bring/wear ear plugs. Proceeds from the event will go to the arts in Londons Westminster.
