Friday weather update - rain less likely 09 Jul 2004
Welcome to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the 11th round of the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championship.
After yesterdays downpours, the good news is that the chances of rain for the rest of the weekend are not forecast to exceed 20 percent. In fact, the weather should be more settled than originally anticipated. It will be cloudy for all three days, with respective temperature highs of 17 degrees Celsius, 19 and 18, Friday through Sunday.
It is now unlikely to rain in Saturday qualifying, and Sunday should be dry all through. Just in case, though, fans are advised to bring those umbrellas and wrap up warm. It was very cold here yesterday.
