Saturday weather update - guessing games 24 Jul 2004
Which way will the weather go today? Thats the big question as we welcome you back to Hockenheim and the German Grand Prix, 12th round of the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championship.
All week the forecasts have predicted heavy rain today, and in the region last night the humidity built up to almost unbearable levels until there were storms, complete with thunder and lightning. But in nearby Speyer the rainfall was low and this morning at Hockenheim, though it is cloudy and overcast, it is bone dry and the humidity is still high.
An ambient temperature high of 25 degree Celsius (compared to 31 degrees yesterday) is anticipated, but we will have to wait and see how things develop. As things stand, however, the Bridgestone runners will be laughing.
Meanwhile, the forecast for tomorrow, and the 67-lap race, suggests a high of 27 degrees and only a low chance of rain.
