The wraps will come of the Toyota TF105 on Saturday, making the Japanese squad the first to unveil their 2005 machine to the press.

The car will be presented at the Barcelona circuit in Spain on January 8 and is the first Toyota Formula One design overseen entirely by the team’s highly regarded technical director Mike Gascoyne.

The TF105 is due to make its full test debut just three days later when Ralf Schumacher puts the car through its paces at Jerez on January 11 and 12. He will hand over to team mate Jarno Trulli for the following two days.

Toyota will be hoping the new machine can bring them their first podium finish after they endured a difficult 2004 season, finishing eighth in the constructors’ championship, just a point behind rivals Jaguar.
