Minardi announce Pastorelli for Misano test 17 Jan 2005
Minardi have confirmed that their driver line-up for the teams test this week at the Autodromo Santamonica, Misano, will consist of Christijan Albers, Chanock Nissany and newcomer Nicky Pastorelli.
Albers, who was recently signed as one of the team's 2005 race drivers, will take part in all three days of the session from January 18-20, while Israel's Nissany, who last tested with Minardi at Misano in November, will take the wheel on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Pastorelli is currently scheduled to drive on Tuesday afternoon. The young Dutch star won the 2004 Superfund Euro 3000 Championship, and the Misano session will mark his first appearance in a Formula One car.
All three men will use a Minardi Cosworth PS04B, the purpose of the test being to provide Formula One familiarisation time for the drivers and to assess components destined for the Faenza squad's 2005 car, due to be unveiled in Melbourne on the opening Thursday of the Australian Grand Prix meeting.
