January launches for Toyota, Renault 02 Dec 2005
The Toyota and Renault teams have both confirmed that they will officially launch their challengers for the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship next month.
Toyotas new TF106 has already made its first testing outing, and will be appearing regularly in forthcoming sessions. Nevertheless, the team will be holding a special pre-season launch event on Saturday, January 14, at Toyota's manufacturing facility in France.
And Renaults R26, successor to this years title-winning R25, will be unveiled in Monaco on Tuesday, January 31. However, the car will make its track debut three weeks prior to that on January 10 in testing at Jerez.
Meanwhile, Honda have announced that their 2006 car, the RA106, will run for the first time on January 25 in testing at Barcelonas Circuit de Catalunya. The team will reveal further details in the New Year.
