Holzer earns BMW Sauber test
|
German driver Marco Holzer will get the chance to test for the BMW Sauber Formula One team after winning the Formula BMW World Final in Bahrain on Friday.
Holzer finished second on the road, but took victory thanks to a ten-second time penalty for compatriot Nicolas Huelkenberg. Sebastien Buemi of Switzerland inherited second, with Huelkenberg ultimately classified third.
The start of the race saw a spectacular crash on the start-finish straight. From then on Huelkenberg dominated, despite a second minor collision which saw local hero Sh. Salman Bin Rashid Al-Khalifa retire with damaged suspension.
