Friday weather - hotting up in Bahrain 01 Apr 2005
The same balmy weather as yesterday is predicted for the first action day of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which means that the Sakhir International Circuit will enjoy an ambient temperature high around 33 degrees Celsius.
These conditions will lead to high track temperatures, as expected, and the weather should be consistent all weekend with 36 degrees on Saturday and 35 on race day.
This should enable the teams to work on their set-ups without interruption, and yesterday's light wind, while keeping humidity down, justified the precautions all of them have taken to keep sand out of vital components such as engines, cooling systems, brakes and wheel bearings. The wind, like the heat, is expected to be a feature all weekend.
