Sunday weather update - dry race assured 08 May 2005
Welcome to race day at the Spanish Grand Prix, fifth round of the 2005 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Following two days of warm, sunny weather in Barcelona, that trend will continue for second qualifying and the race, with a temperature high of 22 degrees Celsius.
The 4.627 kilometre Circuit de Catalunya, situated in the Granollers region, is largely unchanged since 2004, when Michael Schumacher won after taking pole position at 1m 15.022s. However, it has been resurfaced since then, which will affect lap times, possibly for the better if testing is anything to go by.
The race will run over 66 laps (305.256 km) and will start at 1400 hours local time, which is two hours ahead of GMT.
