Storm halts Ferrari testing 16 May 2005
Ferrari continued testing at Fiorano on Friday and Saturday, with a mixture of weather conditions at the Italian circuit.
In sunny conditions, Friday saw Luca Badoer continue the teams preparations for the Monaco Grand Prix, primarily Bridgestone tyre work. The Italian covered a total of 75 laps (16 of them on the short version of the track,) setting a best time of 57.447s.
Badoer was greeted by cloudy skies as he climbed back into the F2005 cockpit on Saturday morning to conclude the tyre programme with another 65 laps (one short), the quickest a 57.686s.
He handed over to Rubens Barrichello for the afternoons session, but the Brazilian completed just 14 laps (one short) of Monaco set-up work before a storm hit the circuit, forcing the team to abandon the weeks final day of testing. Barrichellos best lap was a 58.117s.
