Italian wins extra race outing before Klien returns

Red Bull have announced that Vitantonio Liuzzi will partner David Coulthard for the fourth successive Grand Prix at the Nurburgring next weekend, with Christian Klien resuming race driver duties from the following round in Canada onwards.

"After having evaluated both drivers performance during their three race stints, the team have decided that Tonio will continue as race driver at the next GP in Germany,” confirmed Red Bull’s sporting director Christian Horner.

“Christian will then be back in the race car from Montreal having made a valuable contribution to the team in the last three races as third driver."

Klien, who drove for Jaguar last season, raced for Red Bull in the opening three races of 2005, before stepping aside to give 2004 Formula 3000 champion Liuzzi his Formula One race debut.
