Barcelona day four - new Jordan on track 27 Jun 2005
Tiago Monteiro and Narain Karthikeyan got their first taste of the heavily revised Jordan EJ15B in Barcelona on Friday, ahead of the cars planned race debut at next weekends French Grand Prix.
The Jordan duo completed around 40 laps between them in the Toyota-powered machine. No official times were issued by the team, who finished well off the pace of the leading Ferraris of Michael Schumacher and official test driver Luca Badoer.
Schumacher, who set a best of 1m 15.700s, was over a second quicker than his colleague (1m 16.761s) in the F2005, both men working on the development of Bridgestone tyres, plus mechanical components and aerodynamics.
