Klien confirmed for two more races 03 Aug 2005
Red Bull’s Vitantonia Liuzzi will have to wait until at least September’s Belgian Grand Prix for another race opportunity after the team confirmed that Christian Klien will remain David Coulthard’s team mate for next two rounds of the championship.
Red Bull have been alternating their two young drivers in the second race seat this season. So far Klien has competed in nine rounds to Liuzzi’s four, prompting speculation that the Italian would be given another chance in time for his home Grand Prix at Monza.
However, the team have now ruled that out. Klien will retain the race drive for both the forthcoming Turkish and Italian Grands Prix, while Liuzzi will continue as third driver. Red Bull have not confirmed their driver line-up for the final four rounds of the season.
