Indianapolis refund - details confirmed 10 Aug 2005
Michelin has already confirmed that it will be undertaking one of the biggest refunds in sporting history, handing back money that race fans paid for tickets to watch the US Grand Prix.
The race itself turned into a fiasco after Michelin advised the teams running with its tyres that it could not guarantee safety on Indianapolis' banked high-speed turn. This led to all of the Michelin-shod teams opting not to take the start - to the obvious disappointment of the American fans.
Michelin confirmed that it would offer ticket-holders a full refund shortly after the race itself, now full details of the procedure necessary to make a claim have been revealed. Any ticket purchased through an Indianapolis Motor Speedway account will be refunded automatically and no action by the ticket holder is required. For ticket purchases not made through an IMS ticket account the ticket stub will be required and the ticket holder will be required to complete a Stubbed Ticket Claim Form.

The deadline for requesting a refund is August 29.
