Holzer to make debut with BMW Sauber 30 Oct 2006
German teenager Marco Holzer will get his first taste of Formula One power next month when he tests for the BMW Sauber at Valencia in Spain. Holzer’s drive is reward for winning last year’s Formula BMW World Final in Bahrain.
Holzer claimed his prize after beating off competition from the best drivers in the four international Formula BMW series, thus following in the footsteps of countrymen Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel.
“This Formula One test is greatest thing that could happen to me,” Holzer told the team’s official website. Now it’s a question of preparing myself for the huge forces that come into play in a Formula One car.”
Holzer will take to the track on Thursday November 23, the day before the start of this year’s Formula BMW World Final event at Valencia.
