Timo Glock to test for BMW Sauber 07 Nov 2006
Former Jordan driver Timo Glock will return to the cockpit of a Formula One car later this month to test for BMW Sauber. Glock, who won two GP2 races last season, will get behind the wheel of a F1.06 on November 30 at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.
This test drive was planned long ago but had to be postponed due to the hand injury that Glock sustained in the GP2 race in Monza, explained Mario Theissen, BMW Motorsport Director. Thanks to his successful performance in various race series, Timo was an obvious choice for the test drives.
The 24 year-old German driver, who completed four race drives for Jordan in 2004, scored two points on his Grand Prix debut in Canada after finishing seventh. He has since competed in the American Champ Car series and GP2.
Glock will also be in action testing for BMW Sauber at Jerez in December, alongside former Jordan team mate Nick Heidfeld.
