Sutil optimistic of 2007 testing seat 15 Nov 2006
After three successful third-driver outings with Spyker MF1 this season, Adrian Sutil is targeting a full-time Formula One testing seat with the team for 2007.
Sutil was an impressive tenth fastest on his Formula One Friday debut with the then Midland squad at the Nurburgring back in May and went even better - seventh-quickest - at Magny-Cours. Now the German youngster wants to secure a permanent drive.
F1 is the best place to be as a racing driver, he said, speaking to Spyker MF1s press office. I love to be in the F1 paddock, and to be able to drive those cars.
"It was a great year, and I really want to stay in this business. I hope I can at least get a real test drivers job where I can do all the Fridays and all the test work, and after that for sure I want to race.
Sutil, 23, recently won this years Japanese Formula Three championship.
