The BMW Sauber F1.07 will be unveiled to the public at Valencia on January 16, 2007, the team announced on Monday. The new car will complete its first test at the Spanish circuit on the same day.

Drivers Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel, BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, technical director Willy Rampf and Peter Sauber will all be present at the launch of the team’s 2007 contender.

The team will be hoping the new machine allows them to build on their impressive 2006 ‘debut’ season - their first since BMW’s takeover of Sauber - which saw them finish fifth in the constructors’ championship, just ahead of Toyota.

The F1.07’s launch takes place the day after McLaren unveil their 2007 car, also at the Valencia circuit.
