Swiss celebration for BMW Sauber
|
Around 500 guests joined BMW Sauber in Switzerland on Saturday, as the team marked the end of their 2006 season with a party. In honour of the teams Swiss origins, it was held at the Flims Laax ski resort, located 150 kilometres south-east of Zurich.
BMW Sauber drivers Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel were joined for the day by a selection of BMWs World Touring Car competitors, including newly-crowned 2006 champion Andy Priaulx and Alex Zanardi, who last month returned to the Formula One cockpit during a test session for the team.
After entertaining the Swiss crowds with a variety of sporting contests including cocoa-stirring races and guess the cheese competitions, the drivers presented local specialities to the public, with veteran German racer Hans-Joachim Stuck acting as compere.
