Ferrari begin Fiorano test
|
Ferraris second 248 F1 machine got its first outing on Monday when Felipe Massa shook down the new chassis at Fiorano. Although Ferrari's 2006 challenger debuted in mid January, until now they have been working with just the single example.
Massa covered 100 laps of the Italian track, three of them on its short layout, as he commenced a programme centred on development of the car. The Brazilians quickest time was a 58.242s, all but matching his recent best in the first 248 F1 chassis.
Ferrari continue testing the car at Fiorano on Tuesday, when Michael Schumacher will take over from Massa.
