Montagny is Super Aguri reserve 01 Mar 2006
Former Renault test and development driver Franck Montagny has signed a contract with the Super Aguri team to be their third driver for the opening two rounds of the 2006 season.
Montagny, who spent three seasons with Renault before being replaced by Heikki Kovalainen, will be on standby for Super Aguri in Bahrain and Malaysia, should either of their race drivers, Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide, become unavailable.
Frenchman Montagny is not expected to participate in Friday practice as Super Aguri currently have only two SA05 chassis available.
