Super Aguri to run Montagny as third driver
Super Aguri will field three cars in Friday practice for the forthcoming European Grand Prix after agreeing terms with former Renault tester Franck Montagny to serve as the teams official third driver at the Nurburgring.
Montagny travelled with Super Aguri to the season-opening Bahrain and Malaysian Grands Prix in the role of reserve driver. With a third chassis now available, the Frenchman will get to test alongside Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide while he continues discussions with the team regarding further opportunities.
It is good to have Franck with us again at the European Grand Prix, said team principal Aguri Suzuki. His feedback on the SA05s performance will be extremely useful to our engineers as he has a high level of F1 technical knowledge.
