Three more races for Montagny
|
Franck Montagny has revealed that he will continue to race for Super Aguri in the forthcoming British, Canadian and US Grands Prix. Montagny, who will make his first Monaco start this weekend, was drafted in by the team earlier this month to replace Yuji Ide.
I am thrilled to have the teams confidence and to be able to do these extra races for them, Montagny told his official website.
Mechanical failures prevented the former Renault tester making the finish in either the European or Spanish Grands Prix, but since then he has spent some time at Super Aguris Leafield base getting to know the team and is hoping for better things this weekend.
I am also thrilled that I will be taking part in one of the three most legendary races in the world, and I will do everything I can to make sure it goes well, he added.
Montagny now has a busy few weeks ahead of him. As well as his Formula One commitments, the Frenchman is also lined up to compete in the Le Mans 24-hour race on June 17-18, the weekend between Britain and Canada.
