FIA opens ECU tender process 27 May 2006
Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, has invited tenders for a single Engine Control Unit (ECU) supplier to the championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Tender bids must be submitted by the deadline of June 23, 2006.
From 2008 all teams will have to use a standardised ECU as part of the FIA’s bid to cut the costs of competing in Formula One racing.
The FIA has already invited tenders for a single tyre supplier for the same period.
