Late engine change for Rosberg 15 Jul 2006
Williams driver Nico Rosberg will drop ten places on the grid for Sunday's French Grand Prix after the team opted to change the German's engine ahead of qualifying.
Williams had already expressed concerns over Rosberg's Cosworth unit, which was also used at the last round in Indianapolis, and after monitoring its condition closely during Friday's and Saturday's practice sessions at Magny-Cours the team opted to err on the side of caution.
The only consolation for Rosberg is that, like team mate Mark Webber, he will now get to use Cosworth's latest Series 6 specification V8 engine.
