Sunday weather update - 50 plus on track 27 Aug 2006
Welcome to race day at the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul, round 14 of the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship.
The ambient temperature is once again due to reach a high of 33 degrees Celsius, creating very high track temperatures hat will naturally have a strong influence on tyre performance and wear and thus the outcome of what could be a very close race, conditions for which should be perfect.
The 5.338 kilometre (3.317 mile) circuit is unchanged since last year’s inaugural race. The 58-lap event will run over 309.356 kilometres (192.233 miles) and will start at 1500 hours local time (1200 GMT).
