Fans to design Barrichello’s home helmet 07 Sep 2006
Honda’s Rubens Barrichello has launched a competition giving his fans the chance to pen a special helmet livery, which he will use during his home race at Interlagos next month.
“If your drawing is chosen to be painted on my helmet, I will wear it during the Brazil GP this year!” announced Barrichello on his official website. The Brazilian has run similar contests in the past
Unlike more superstitious drivers, Barrichello is not precious about swapping his regular helmet for a substitute. Back in May he exchanged designs for the weekend with friend and compatriot Tony Kanaan. The swap meant Kanaan’s helmet appeared at the Monaco Grand Prix, whilst Barrichello got to see his feature at the Indianapolis 500 race.
The Brazilian Grand Prix meeting takes place on October 20-22.
