New Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen has made his first appearance in the Italian team’s famous red colours. Raikkonen, who officially joined the squad from McLaren on January 1, is participating in their annual media gathering at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort.

Raikkonen arrived on Tuesday to join team mates Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer for the event, dubbed ‘Wrooom’, which over the coming days will see them and other Ferrari members participating in a number of winter sport activities. The drivers appeared in a press conference on Wednesday morning before preparing to head for the slopes.

Ferrari are expected to launch their 2007 car at their Maranello base on Sunday and the new machine can’t come soon enough for Raikkonen, who hasn’t driven a Formula One car in anger since last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix. The Finn is due to make his Ferrari test debut later this month.
