Positive Ferrari debut for Raikkonen 24 Jan 2007
Kimi Raikkonens first drive for Ferrari went without a hitch on Tuesday, despite damp and windy conditions at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome. Raikkonen completed 39 laps in last years 248F1, alongside new team mate Felipe Massa, who drove the Italian teams 2007 machine, the F2007.
Raikkonen spent his day becoming acquainted with the car and ended the session with a best time of 1m 15.226s. Massa, meanwhile, continued his programme of development work for the new car, after his brief shakedown run at the Fiorano circuit earlier in the month. The Brazilian completed 74 laps, the quickest in 1m 14.493s.
Ferrari continue their three-day test on Wednesday, with Raikkonen and Massa again in charge of driving duties.
