Bad weather affects Ferrari test again 26 Jan 2007
Ferraris Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen completed over 100 laps of testing at Vallelunga on Thursday, despite a third day of changeable weather at the Italian circuit. Sunny spells in the morning allowed both drivers to begin on dry tyres, but rain in the afternoon limited their programmes.
Massa was the quicker, as he once again took to the track in the teams new car, the F2007. The Brazilian clocked a best time of 1m 13.029s over his 86 laps. Raikkonen, meanwhile, in the older F248, completed less than half Massas tally, just 43 laps in total, and recorded fastest time of 1m 13.587s.
The pair will continue at the circuit on Friday, for an unscheduled fourth day, as Ferrari attempt to catch-up on their programme of development work.
