Schedule for Abu Dhabi's F1 Festival 31 Jan 2007
Organisers of this Saturdays F1 Festival in Abu Dhabi have released timings for the free event, which will see more than a dozen current Formula One drivers power around a specially-constructed street circuit.
The circuit will stretch along Abu Dhabi's city waterfront, running from the Emirates Palace, along the Corniche through to the Marina Mall. The route has been designed to give the public the best possible views. The action will also be shown on a number of trackside big screens.
Roads in the area will be closed from 9am, but parking will be available at the Marina Mall car park, The Hilton Hotel area and between The Intercontinental Hotel and Al Bateen Marina.
The full schedule is as follows:
0900: Road closures in place. Entertainment begins on big screens.
0930: Drivers practice in FIA Safety Car - to be shown on big screens.
1000: VIP pit visit, led by ex-driver Martin Brundle - to be shown on big screens.
1040: Driver parade.
1100: Formula One cars perform a lap of the circuit, one team at a time.
1210: Formula One cars perform a final lap in 2006 championship order.
1220: Flypast by Etihad Airways.
1225: Event concludes.
